Tamaki College Sports Day
On Monday some of the Year 8's went to Tamaki College for sports day. Their were a lot of people from other schools like Panmure Bridge, Glen Taylor and others. All the schools got mixed up in to different coloured teams. When we got put into teams we got to play sports like Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, Netball and others. It was a really fun day and also Tamaki College gave us very healthy and yummy lunch. My favourite sports out of all that we played was basketball, it is because it was fun and everyone was playing very fair. I really had a fun day but the bad thing was that it was so hot that I felt like I was melting.

Syndicate Assembly
On Monday the Seniors had a sydicate assembly. Room 9 was the class that was hosting it. Room 9 had a challenge for the class, we had to pick 3 people from each class to do the challenge. The challenge was call Juju on that beat, all the classes had a go. Afterwards we had to vote. Everyone voted and the winner were Room 12. I also think that room 12 do deserve to win because Mika's was trying his best and it was also funny.

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children
My Favourite Scene
By: Halaiano
Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children is an fantasy movie. It is about a boy who had special eyes that none of the others had, this boy could see the monsters. These types of monster were after the loops.
My favourite part in the movie was the end, when Jake and the other children went to rescue Miss Peregrine, Barron changed himself into Jake so the children would be confused. Everything about him was the same, but there was one huge difference- his special eyes that Barron never had. Jake then saw a monster behind Barron and said I have powers that you don’t have. The monster than attacked and killed Barron then Jake shot the monster in the head with a crossbow.

Mereana Fitzgerald was on her way to help a friend when she was driving and slid off the road, killing her. The 31-year-old was driving towards Te Pohue on State Highway 5 with three passengers when she crashed. Family members described her as someone who had the "Biggest Heart" and would give anything and everything to everyone. She loved to take care of people and wanted to work in an industry where she could help with any problems they were going through.

Who was Guy Fawkes and where can you see the best firework displays?
November 5th is the day when Britons everywhere set fire to things and let things off. But Why?
November 5th - Which is this year falls on a Saturday - honour the failure of the November 1605 Gunpowder Plot by a gang of Roman Catholic activists led by Warwickshire-born Robert Catesby. When Protestant King James I acceded to the throne, English Catholics had hoped that the persecution they had felt for over 45 years under Queen Elizabeth I would finally end, and they would be granted the freedom to practice their religion.

Iraq forces battling Isis prepare to break into Mosul
Iraqi forces said they had reached the eastern outskirts of Mosul today and were preparing to make the first break into the city. whoich has been held by Isis (Islamic State) militants for more than two years. After an early morning push, forces from Iraq's elite counterterrorism units had taken positions on the outskirts of the suburb of Gogjali by sundown local time. They had progressed father than expected. The presence of more than a million civilians also complicates the battle, making air support more difficult. Lieutenant-General Abdelamir Yarallah, a senior army commander, said that the city's eastern bank was under direct fire.

Jungle camp migrants bused to new shelters across France
More than 1,600 migrants were bussed to new shelters across France. France maintains it is closing the camp for humanitarian reasons and to end the stateless limbo for thousands of migrants, many of them have made unsuccessful attempts to cross the channel. The camp also has become a glaring symbol of Europe's struggle to cope with a massive influx of migrants and refugees since last year, many from war-torn places such as Syria and Afghanistan.

Thailand remembers their King
In Thailand, the King named Bhumibol, has died after a long illness, he was 88-years old. Bhumibol is the world's longest-reigning monarch, who was worshipped as a father figure during his 70-year reign. Bhumibol's body was transported to his riverside Grand Palace in Bangkok ahead of a funeral and a traditional royal cremation. The King had been in poor health for several years but his death has shocked the southeast Asian nation of 67 million people and plunged it into grief.

When we go to the Auckland Botanic Gardens, I would like to see the Native Forest. The reason why I want to see the Native Forest is because I want to experience more about the Native stuffs and especially as I was reading about the Native Forest I heard that there were beautiful nikau palm, tree fern groves and listen to the calls and songs of the busy Native Birds, That is why I want to see the Native Forest.

'Killer clown' with huge knife caught on chilling CCTV footage trying to enter family home
CCTV footage has captured the moment a 'killer clown' armed with a huge knife tries to enter a family home - through front door. The surveillance cameras, appear to be recording the scenes at around 2.30am this morning and show a figure dressed as a clown walking up to the door and trying the handle. Wearing a face full of white make-up and an orange wig, the clown realises the door and then makes his way around to the side of the house, still holding the knife in his hand. He opens the back gate, and attempts to open several doors surrounding the property. This happened in the United Kingdom.

Why did we have to go to Tamaki Primary?
Last Wednesday, The whole school went to Tamaki Primary because Special Cleaners came and cleaned our entire school for Asbestos. Asbestos is very dangerous because It could have made us have Lung cancer, Mesothelioma and non-malignant. If you get Asbestos and non-malignant, the non-malignant will make the Lung cancer more worse and then you'll see your self in Heaven.
